Because of his height Indy (his stable name due to his being born on
Indy car race day) was exhibited as an Australian National
Saddle Horse rather than as a Riding
Pony. His progeny are, however, eligible, and, at that time, he provided a rare
opportunity for breeders wishing to produce stock in the 14 - 16hh
range. His conformation,
quality and movement made him a prolific show ring winner. He produed
hacks with
the movement and temperament of a pony similar to the English
hacks that were being bred using up to size Riding Ponies.
