Republic

DOB: 22nd November, 1977. 
A 16.1hh son of the famous race horse Gunsynd out of Miss Misty. 
Republic had an outstanding temperament and brilliant paces.  His workouts were renown for being foot perfect with huge extended trots, flawless flying changes and explosive gallops. 
He was a most prolific winner of Champion and Supreme Champion Hacks and classes at Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne Royal Shows. 
He won over 70 supreme champion hack awards in his career. His first major win was the Novice 15.2 - 16hh class at Sydney Royal in 1984.
Republic was retired from the show ring at 10 year old as his dapples faded.  He had a brief career eventing before a great retirement minding weanlings till he was in his late twenties.
